PS4 Firmware 3.0 Brings Youtube Broadcasting and Twitter Upload Options

PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.0 is currently in beta in Japan and it appears PS4 users will be getting an alternate method of broadcasting and sharing their video games. According to Japanese website Pocket News, broadcasting via YouTube is coming to PS4 with upcoming firmware update. PS4’s Share function will also get the ability to support screenshots and video clips, in addition to broadcasting. YouTube Makes New Desktop Player Available to Everyone

YouTube just got a facelift — it’s not a complete reconstruction, but it’s definitely more than just fillers to smooth out wrinkles. The Google-owned video sharing service has rolled out its new HTML5 desktop player to everyone after a few months of testing. Ooh la la! YouTube has Launched New Mobile App With 3D VR Video Channel

During a keynote speech tonight at the 6th annual Vidcon event, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced a new version of its mobile app. Available on Android and mobile web browsers now (iOS coming soon), it makes it easier for creators to publish and edit directly in the app, and easier for viewers to subscribe to a channel with just one button touch (and with ten million of those touches, channel owners can earn the new Diamond play button reward).
