Hackers Can Access iPhone Contacts and Photos Without a Password

iPhone users have yet another screenlock bypass vulnerability to watch out for, according to a new video demonstration that shows how the bug can be exploited to gain unauthorized access to photos and contacts. The hack reportedly works on iOS version 9.0.1, which Apple released Wednesday, although some people say they are unable to reproduce it. Whatsapp For iOS Gets New Features in Recent Update

WhatsApp updated its iOS app on Wednesday adding several new features that were rolled out to Android users less than a month ago. The update WhatsApp iOS app (version 2.12.5) is now available to download from the App Store. The updated WhatsApp iOS app also brings new features to the platform such as option to backup video chats, improved VoiceOver support, and sharing location directly to WhatsApp, among others. Australian Apple users have received a harsh reminder that computer passwords provide only a thin layer of protection on the internet. On Tuesday, people across the country awoke to find their iPhones, iPads, and Macintoshes locked behind an ominous message: “Device hacked by Oleg Pliss.” The message also told users that if they wanted their devices unlocked, they should send money via PayPal to the hacker’s email address, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
